Lots of stuff to talk about.
Hopefully this won't kill anyone with boredom. -.-
Day 1, Canoeing Intensive Training Camp:
Monday morning. My alarm didn't ring.
Woke up at 5:10, but went back to sleep.
Next thing I knew, it was 6:30 and Syafiq had SMSed me three times while I was sleeping.
SHIT.
Brushed my teeth and changed into my jersey. Took a cab(Sorry Syafiq. BUT you were on the 166 already...).
In the end, reached Macritchie at 7:02. Late. By 2 freaking minutes. The taxi driver only charged me $9+. And he drove FAST. I give him credit. =)
Syafiq arrived minutes later and we stuffed our bags into Mr Teo's car. Then came the training.
Paddled and paddled and... paddled. Whatever. Skip that part. It was hell.
There was a bus to take us back to the school. How nice!
Went back to school for lunch(I had a second round), some theory lessons on the boats and some other stuff. Then back to Macritchie for a second round. More paddling... Then another bus.
Back at school, Ms Lim told us to put down our bags in the foyer and go to the arena.
Push up position. Oh no.
10 latecomers, 10 times 10, 100. But in the end we did more than 200 I think.
After that, 8 rounds around the arena. Then dinner. Finally. This time there were no extras, so no seconds. =(
Then bathed and lights out.
Day 2, Buffet:
We trained a lot. However I'm not going to go into details as I don't have the feeling of recalling the trainings.
Woke up at 5:25 in the morning and went to brush my teeth. Then we went for a short breakfast, then training at Macritchie.
After the morning training we went back to the school and had the second theory lesson. During the lesson we were forced to get tied together with our respective partners. I was a solo paddler, so I got stuck with sec 1 Jun Kiat. Better off than Damien who got stuck to both Wei Shan and Manoj. I pitied him.
After that was lunch.
Here's the irony:
Jun Kiat's right hand was tied to my left hand.
Jun kiat is a left-hander, and I'm a right-hander.
Not much of a restriction when eating lunch(I went for a second round again).
After that did some stuff(don't remember what I did) and then water training again.
Back at school, went for a shower and then everyone went down to the canteen for the buffet.
Waited a LONG LONG time for everyone to get their food.
The girl who sat in front of me was like... dying for the permission to start eating? Lol. Tall girl, sec 1. I seem to connect with the quieter, more reserved people better. =D
After the cheer we started eating, and halfway through the meal some members of the Table Tennis Team came into the canteen. o.o
Then they took some benches/tables and left. O.O?
After the buffet Ms Lim told us to sleep early. Said that 'Tomorrow was going to be a long day'. Read on.~
Day 3: Today. Let's Play!
Woke up at 1plus in the morning. Went back to sleep.
Awoken later by sec 4s. Good seniors... until I noticed that it was only 2:30 in the morning. OMG.
Everyone had to get out and play a 'game'.
The game goes like this:
One person will be picked to be the Leader. The rest will be tied to one another hand to hand. The group must find the Keyholders and get a key. Then, bring the group somewhere to hide while the Leader goes to the first floor to find the staircase shutter that opens to the key. Once found, the group goes on to the second part of the game.
BUT. Sec 4s will be patrolling the entire school with torchlights to catch the groups. once caught, a minimun of 5 pushups to be done on the spot. Groups who go under the lighted areas in the school WILL BE caught and pumped immediately. MOST IMPORTANTLY, make as little noise as possible as the Table Tennis members are still sleeping in the Hall.
OMG. First Felicia was the Leader. Then I got bored and volunteered to switch. Then we found Gordon and Timothy(Keyholders) and got a key. I left my group somewhere to hide and went down to the first floor via the General office staircase only to get caught by Jiasheng the moment I stepped into the Foyer. 20 solo pushups...
After trying out quite a number of keys, all teams were told to advance to the second part as we had wasted more than 2 hours on the first part alone. My group and I were at the fourth floor(with sec 1 Jarret as the Leader) with Gordon, Timothy and Waichong. We had lost anyway. =/
Then we found out that only Key 6 worked - the Shutter Key. DAMN. We were like, "Tio scammed..."
Second part of the 'Game'.
We were given an envelope with a piece of a picture in it. A riddle was written behind it. "Let there be light~ Oh, I found my parking lot! A31"
Obviously we went to the carpark. There we found a photo, but it was the last photo for our group. ???O.O???
We looked around and I noticed some writing on one of the lights. A32. We went back and looked at the one before it. A31. Scanned the thing and nearly disassembled it, but no luck. We went back to the Sec 4s and found out that there was some sort of a mistake in riddle or position. This time we were like, "Tio scammed twice..."
After all the drama we went for breakfast(Four hours of sleep...) and then for training at Macritchie... again.
At Macritchie everyone was looking, according to Mr Teo, Zombish. Coach didn't exactly care... So we paddled 1-on 1-off, 2-on 1-off, 3 and 1, 4 and 1, back to 3 and 1, blah blah blah... After the training the Sec 4s were looking slightly less Zombish than they were before. (Capsized. A little bit of water here and there...) Then, back to school where we packed up, debriefed and dismissed. ARGH, SO DAMN TIRED NOW.
I need to catch up for lost sleep...
